About Maths Builder
Maths Builder presents the world’s best practice for teaching
mathematics to primary school children. This comprehensive
online program allows teachers to meet the individual learning
needs of every child in a class, and engages and motivates
children as they build each new level of mathematical skill.

Six key strands
Maths Builder lessons are presented in six mathematical strands,
from Level 0 to Level 6. The strands are:
· Number and Probability
· Patterns and Algebra
· Data
· Measurement
· Space and Geometry
· Working Mathematically.
‘Working Mathematically’ is incorporated into the other five strands to help children develop their capacity to reason and work mathematically.
Australian Curriculum
Maths Builder will strongly support the new Australian Curriculum as it is introduced over the next three years.
Worksheets are arranged sequentially through each 12-month learning level to provide core curriculum material. They are strongly supported by other learning resources, including Interactive games, the Cross-reference tool, Language cards, Voice-over and diagnostic tests.
Teachers can see every resource they need for a lesson from one page of the website. It is easy to move between strands and skill levels, and print or view resources on the computer screen or interactive whiteboard.
Putting maths in context
The beautiful cartoons that illustrate Maths Builder resources give the program its life and personality. As well as capturing children’s imagination, the cartoons help to make the lessons meaningful by providing social, cultural and environmental context to new skills. Photographs and maps are also used to increase the relevance of lessons.
Every Maths Builder resource is designed to engage and motivate children. By encouraging children to practise and master each new mathematical skill, they are able to build a deep foundation for their understanding of mathematical concepts – as well as their self-confidence.
